VOA Dec 2015+ext, 2x SETV +ext in Penang now going for 3rd to PG

Featured Replies

Hi guys - was going to ask admins, but decided to post here instead.

I arrived in Dec 2015, got a one month visa on arrival stamp which was extended by another month.

Visa run by KBV to Penang in Feb, got 2 months SETV and extended by a month again

Visa run to Penang in April with Thai gf and arranged 2 months SETV (right after that we hopped down to Singapore to pick up some of my leftover stuff and back to Phuket) this 2nd SETV was extended early July...

Looking to go to Penang a 3rd time with her (fly to KL and rent a car) and do it on our own. Thinking of providing bank and brokerage statement and buy an outbound ticket for end of September/beginning of October. Do you think that will suffice? Never had any issues or warnings before.

Thanks.

FYI you got a 30 day visa exempt entry not a visa on arrival. A VOA is only for 15 days and costs 1000 baht after the application is accepted.

You should not need financial proof and a flight out of the country to get your visa.

Just use an reputable agent in Penang and you will not have a problem.

Thanks for correction! :)

Do you know any reputable agent there? I remember someone mentioning a guy called Jim in Penang in this forum.

The MYR 20-30 seems reasonable and saved us a lot of time the last time we were there.

Jim is probably the most well know agent. Search for Jims place Penang.
