PATTAYA: -- The latest news from Pattaya police chief Pol Col Apichai Krobpetch, on the Nangfah Karaoke Bar police extortion allegations, is that a meeting has been arranged for today at Pattaya Police Station, with Pol Lt Col Narawuth Karamhito, to acknowledge and address the allegations.

However, Pattaya One reporters have again failed to reach Pol Lt Col Narawuth.

Instead another investigating officer has again pointed to information that forty-nine year old Ms. Sommai Jongthanasakul, a previous owner of the Nangfah Karaoke Bar, had before been arrested in January 2016, December 2015 and again during 2014 for the same offence.

Without explaining what this information had to do with the current extortion & false arrest allegations made by a new owner, the unidentified officer also failed to provide details of any of these previous arrests, or whether there had been any charges or convictions.

So the head of Pattaya Police arranges a meeting with a subordinate to discuss alleged wrongdoing ?

Is the Lt. Col not on duty these days, he isn't ordered to front up ?

All very convenient it seems and why aren't the really senior brass demanding answers, too much embarrassment likely to come out ?

Oh what a tangled web, we weave!

Or one could say:

- Pattaya police don't seem to know the correct procedures to follow. And don't know what should / should not be revealed during an investigation.

- Also seems to be a picture of follow the personal ins and outs of 'highlighted people' rather than follow laid down procedures.

A long way to go, but more to the point, another good reason why the entire RTP needs total reorganization, total reform, total re-education on procedures, the law, and more.
