Agro product prices still stable

BANGKOK, 25 July 2016 (NNT) – Officials from the Internal Trade Department have visited Ying Charoen Market in Bangkok to observe prices of agricultural products.

The survey, led by Inspector General and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce Banjongjitt Angsusingh, found that prices of most items remained stable. Some types of vegetables have been a little more expensive due to the fact that rainfall causes vegetables to rot easily.

Lentils are priced at 40 baht per bundle. Spring onions and coriander are sold for 70 baht per kilogram. Pork costs 140-150 baht a kilo. A 0-sized egg costs 4.40 baht a piece. Prices of fruit remain unchanged except prices of bananas which have slightly increased.

For those living in Bangkok who might be bored and have some free time the Ying Charoen Market at Anusawari, Bang Khen is well worth a visit to see how a well run Thai market operates.

The price of Fruit and Veg is more expensive here than

in the U.K., example Potatoes and Onions, and the farmers

say they are making no money, switch from Rice to Vegetables.

regards worgeordie

the reason why its over priced is because the chinese control those farmers. The chinese have already monopolized the thai fruit industry. and of course ....of course.. of course... you will never make money when doing business with chinese... without exploiting someone life.
