My Wife and MIL want to get up to Chiang Mai area in Oct to see fields of flowers and fruit etc? Is this a good time? If so what are the best resort hotels that are close to this type of sight seeing experience. Thanks.

October, too late for fruit, too early for flowers....

Royal Flora is the place to see loads of plants in CM. Don't know about flowers in October, but they have an orchid house.

There's an area about half way up the MHS western route that has fields of flowers, but I think in November.
