Re-entry Permit for Khmer

Featured Replies

Everyone,

My Khmer Girl Friend came to Thailand with a 60 Day Tourist Visa can this be extended at the end of 60 days for 30 more days.

I have to do a Visa Run to Vientiane, Laos before Aug 08 and I have a Khmer Girl Friend who just arrived in Thailand with a 60 Day Tourist Visa last Saturday.

When I go to Laos is it possible to get a Re-entry Permit for my Khmer Girlfriend. Where do I do the re-entry permit at the border or in Nong Khai what are the days open and hours. What is the cost of a re-entry permit.

Can the re-entry permit be done at the Airport in Bangkok I am going to fly ThaiSmile.

What's the best way to do it.

Thanks

D

She can apply for the 30 day extension at an immigration office.

She can get a re-entry permit to keep the remainder of her 60 day entry when she returns. A fee is 1000 baht for a single re-entry permit.

There is re-entry permit desk at the bridge in Nong Khai. Not sure about the hours but would expect it to be open during normal working hours every day.

A re-entry permit can only be obtained at the airport if departing on a international flight (boarding pass is required).

The last sentence is very good information. I would have incorrectly assumed that I could have gone to the airport to obtain a re-entry permit, without a flight out of the country.
