BANGKOK, 6 August 2016 (NNT) – The Thai Premier, Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha, said today that he appreciates the support and the cooperation the public have given the government during the past two years.

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said the public had contributed in the government’s success in maintaining peace and order since the current government took office in 2014.

He said the public served as its eyes and ears and sent their comments and complaints to Damrongdharma centers, complaint hotlines, and in direct mail sent to him every day; he promised to read every single message.

He also took this opportunity to apologize to the public and his subordinates, explaining that he can be very rough around the edges without intending to be as he is extremely committed to his duties on behalf of the nation. He said it was never his intention to offend anyone even if he has done so.

He seems to think that the referendum is an election in which he is up for reappointment.

If you don't Co operate and support him the you will be arrested and locked up.  Not much of a choice

'You may all rest assured that this party is just getting started and there are plenty more 'goodies' headed your way...'

You seem to think that Isn't what it is.

So long, farewell, Prayuth. Enjoy your retirement.

Typical crap from NNT.

Unfortunately (for the Thai people) his expression of appreciation is directed at a captive audience.

As for his claim that he never intended to offend anyone - well, that's just offensive!

Its just a smoke and mirrors circus to try a fool the international community. He must believe they are as ignorant as he is.

Sometimes I think that they are by offering no criticism of his shenanigans.

Given the reds and yellows do not like the charter, perhaps he should just make preparations to go.  His referendum has brought reconciliation to Thailand.   Thaksin and Abhisit agree they do not like it.

Yes, diplomats are sometimes too diplomatic. I suppose they just want to keep their cosy overseas appointment without rocking any boats. As for governents leaders, they need to grow some balls but very few do in this politically correct,  tell people what they want to hear, its not my problem era.

Any almost all outside military and hiso circles are in agreeance that he has been a failure and has to go. It will be a massive loss of face which will be twisted, turned and fabricated in such a way that the appearance of goodwill "only for the benefit of the country".

Similarily, much like a prison warden thanking his prisoners' cooperation in maintaining peace and order within a nondemocratic institution.

He'll be here all week, month, year, decade.

Tip your waitress.

It's like a rapist thanking the victim for whispering "I love you " while having a gun to her head

When this guy is found in a drain pipe hiding .....with murderous reds , sick of this BS hot on his tail ....I hope he reflects in the moments left to realise he was nothing ever ...but a piece of stooge hardware for the dying elites .

Thank you dear PM and former general,.... you forced it down our throat without our public consent.... you're getting your way. Have a nice day.

I have a feeling his appreciation is to the elite few, the rest don't matter, at all!
