So I have accumulated a lot of coins while living in Thailand for 5 years about 30,000 baht. Is there a easy way to exchange the coins for paper money? Can I go to the bank and give them the coins? Do I have to roll the coins? In America I would go to a coin star machine and they would exchange for me very easy. Curious what my options are here.

Thanks

In an earlier thread on the same question - one poster said he goes to 7-11 and they appreciate getting the change and exchange it for notes.  Suggest you do this at a quiet time though!

Go to the nearest charitable institution of your choice and fill up one of the large boxes with your coins. The attendants will take care of the rest of it.

Find your local reserve bank and exchange them there. The one we use is located on the lower floor of the provincial governors building.

Its where local businesses buy their bags of small change. They have coin counting machines.

Try a bank, shit you  make me gag, banks need to tip the coins into a coin counter and they are loathe to do it because of the time it takes ..
