200,000 baht reward for information related to bomb attacks

BANGKOK: -- A 200,000 baht reward has been offered by the 7th regional police bureau to anyone who can provide useful information which will help police in the investigation of the bomb attacks in Hua Hin, said Pol Gen Pongsapat Pongcharoen, the national deputy police chief, told a press conference on Sunday.

Cleanup launched for flood-hit Pai district as another flood looms

PAI: -- Both foreign and Thai tourists helped local residents and officials in a big cleanup on Sunday to clear the main road in Pai district of Mae Hong Son of the leftovers from a flash flood which swept through this mountainous tourist attraction on Friday.

No charges yet against people held in connection with bomb attacks

BANGKOK: -- The individuals invited for questioning by the military under suspicion of involvement in a spate of arson and bombing attacks in seven southern provinces during August 11-13 have not been charged until there are sufficient evidences to prove their involvement, NCPO spokesman Colonel Winthai Suvaree clarified on Sunday.

Thailand’s jewelry exports grow by 67.12% in first half of year

PHUKET: -- An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) bomb detection unit has confirmed that a“strange contraption” discovered at a busy clothes and souvenir market in central Patong midday on Sunday (August 14) was indeed a bomb that failed to detonate.

Thai Police Now Say Wave of Attacks in Thailand Led by One Person

 

BANGKOK –  Thai police said on Sunday that the bombing and arson attacks in southern Thailand that killed four people and wounded dozens was orchestrated by a single person, while a man has been arrested in relation to one of the attacks.
