BANGKOK: -- The individuals invited for questioning by the military under suspicion of involvement in a spate of arson and bombing attacks in seven southern provinces during August 11-13 have not been charged until there are sufficient evidences to prove their involvement, NCPO spokesman Colonel Winthai Suvaree clarified on Sunday.

He did not give a figure of the individuals held for questioning by the military at the 11th army circle headquarter, but said that the military are empowered to hold them for questioning up to seven days without charges.

He said that charges would be lodged against these individuals once there are enough evidences against them.

The NCPO spokesman asked the public to have trust in the military in ensuring peace and order in the country and in handling these cases.

The NCPO, he said, wants to bring about peace and order and to ensure happiness for the people.

"He said that charges would be lodged against these individuals once there are enough evidences against them."

So SOP remains in force, "OK chaps these are the people we want to blame, now get out there and find some evidence to fit them up."

Or maybe I am just being cynical, but then again.

Yes, you are being cynical - but correct. The authorities' behaviour follows an all-too-familiar pattern.

You're right - Koh Tao, Erawan and now this.

Ignore the Malaysian phone links, ignore the similarities between the southern bombs, Erawan bomb and these bombs in composition; ignore the fact that all targets were on Asian Highway 2 leading up from the Southern provinces, and just do what you gotta do...frame up the right (wrong) people and let the guilty go free, with a botched or zero proper investigation, so they can come back and do it again.

I thought in a civilize and lawful country, you find the evidence and then you apply for arrest warrant and then do the arrest. The junta is also blatantly ignoring police forensic evidence of similar bomb device used by the Southern insurgents. Looks like the junta has an agenda and we are heading for some sort of confrontation. Thought the reasons for the coup was to maintain peace and reconciliation but seem we heading for the opposite.

Ok lets have fun ....no one caught as yet?

Mmmm why?

That's because the CIA might be helping ?
Really...or was it the reds ..
Students ...the Muslims .

What next a faked Yingluck abduction caught on film ?
The men dressed in army uniform dragging her out.
Caught on film .
She is smuggled out of Thailand on an American plane.

But it's kept secret so five million people accuse you of killing her?
Pitch folks and rebellion?

This most basic attack is only the beginning.
You should be praying the reds did do it.
Because the ""other"" ops will destroy you far quicker.

When will the next one happen?
Can you assure tourists that no more will occur?
After all they are still out there.
Just as the theories are.

Since when did a coup solve any problem , the one in 06 didn't and this one is only going to cause that much division  and  strife that one hopes that in the end ,  the military is so de politicalised that they stay in their barracks forever.
