Army hands over 15 suspects to CSD for interrogations

BANGKOK: -- The Army today handed over 15 suspects whose offences include violation of the military junta's order, national security threat, to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) police for further interrogations.

All the suspects claimed they had no connection to the recent bombings in seven provinces but admitted to be members of a newly formed anti-government group called “Revolution Party for Democracy.”

They were all escorted from the special prison inside the Army Division 11 in Bangkok to the CSD under tight security for acknowledgement of the charges.

Their relatives and friends were at the CSD to see them.

Pol Maj Chayapon Chatdet, chief of the Royal Thai Police’s crime affairs division said all would be escorted to the Military Court today for permission to extend their detention for interrogation.

He said so far they are not charged with the recent bomb attacks as there were no evidence yet to implicate them.

But some were arrested for illegal assembly and possession of firearms he said.

The CSD will find out if these suspects had any link to the recent bomb and arson attacks in the seven provinces.

They might want to inform Mr 968 million baht. :coffee1:

Up until now I suspected Muslim groups in the far south.

Not any more .

The junta looks to have created this situation.

So we know who did the bombings now .
Motive - using it as a pretext to conduct witch hunts.

Confessions to a previously unheard of group.

Imprisonment and torture ( interrogation )

These guys are becoming real pieces of work.

Thailand is set to become a powder Keg.
Tourists considering going there should think again.

This place is turning dark .

Nah, I was referring to Chakthip - a career cop who's declared assets are northwards of 968 million baht, and who seems to have no clue about what's going on. Granted with all the disinformation, and false reports that are being promulgated by people who should know better concerning last week's bombings, I don't really blame him!

Who's that, Prayuth? You do know that Prayuth has close to that amount.

There are other reports on this in the news and the term some Thais use to describe what they were arrested for is 'Communist thinking'. And many are crying hypocrisy as Prayuth recommended Thais to read "The Governance of China' in April
.
