Laem Chabang police in Chon Buri seized 600,000 methamphetamine tablets from a passenger van and arrested three people – one of whom police described as a major drug trafficker in the eastern region.

Acting on a tipoff that a large shipment of ya baa or methamphetamine would be delivered on Thursday to a customer in front of a shop in Village 8, Tambon Thung Sukla, Si Racha district of Chon Buri, plainclothes policemen were dispatched to the scene and close vicinity to keep close watch.

When the suspected Toyota van emerged and stopped in front of the shop, the undercover policemen then swooped in on the van to prevent it from escaping. Then they searched the vehicle and found the ya baa wrapped in several packages.

Two men and a woman in the van were booked for interrogation. They were identified as Preecha Chiangros, his wife Mrs Saowalak, and Sanya Hoithaisong, all natives of Nakhon Ratchasima.

Police also seized their bank accounts which showed their money cash flow amounting to about 100 million baht per month.

Somebody forgot the brown envelope, so they got shopped to the cops.

Why do you think so many Thai's and Filipinos are hooked on yaba and not another drug?

This location is on the road known as Laem Chabang Bypass which joins the Motorway to the Port and is soon to become a tollway.

with so many connecting borders it must be a difficult job  to track movement of illegal drugs.was the whistle blower awarded for the information as good rewards may motivate more people to come forward and provide information.
