NIDA has proven that it's not a respectable institution with its pathetic pro-'regime' polls. Regime is in quotes because the actual term I want to use is banned. This is Thailand 2016.

who 's the fool who is going to believe in this poll?

If you say it enough people will eventually question their own understanding of the truth. Thais that don't follow what is happening in the nation or the world are easily influenced. In addition, I wonder if these are also written for the Net history. When someone does research on this time in the future what news will come up? Just as you had to follow other events at the time to really know their truth so it will be with this. And Thailand's 'believed' history is one of great leaders not corrupt dictators who empowered the same cronies and nepots. All this propaganda has value now and in the future when people seek the truth about this time.

Yes: he who controls the past (the history books) controls the future. I believe the great Orwell said something similar. But we may not mention Orwell in polite Thai society - no, no, no!

Only 1250 people this time, it's usually 1251.  Was djjamie still in bed?  I have this image of Mr Bean bean and teddy snuggled up in bed but it's actually Jamie and his stuffed Prayuth doll snuggled up in his Prayuth printed bed linen.

Would it have been 1,250 carefully selected people   ?      :gigglem:

The horror that is current junta ruling  Thailand today is seen for what it is.

This is all too late...it's over.

Like a wounded wild boar it roars to warn off the hungry forest animals who will consume it.

Worthless embarrassing fluff ....ridiculous propaganda that no one believes means the hour of their demise draws nearer.

Like all dying beasts they struggling to escape breath , fight , convince themselves there is a way out.
When there is none.

Silence is deafening .
Wounded they try and identify their attackers.
Bleeding they maintain they are in control.

In the jungle night falls .
Slowly.
The political jungle is hungry to consume them.
They will die.

Horrible the deaths awaiting.
In gulags the people scratch out a day a score and a time.
The jailer will open their cells and release them into a Thailand free of the beast.

Time the great healer.
Time the great avenger of evil doers.
Thailand hears their dying moans as they bleed.
The junta is now entering its darkness.

These fables are imagined only.
Their dream is soon to be a nightmare.
The sky will blacken their day
Eclipse their evil rule
Cast into oblivion and consumed .

Yes, very carefully and lovingly selected - by a beloved person on this Forum (hint: a 'd' and a double 'j' spring to mind - ha ha!).

His forum- nickname is Djjamie...

I and I know many others have some reservations about the bona fides of some of those who are supposedly junta fan boys or who bristle at the slightest hint of complaint about LoS.

It's said so much that nothing here is ever quite as it seems so why should the forum be any different   ?

No-News Flash: "A poll among TV readers shows that the approval rating of the PM is 0%. The PM order an investation of why 100% of TV readers are unhappy with his leadership. He will then recommend all TV readers move to an another Asia country with all of the attributes of a perfect Western democracy."

NIDA polls, Bangkok Polls and Dusit Polls all lie. They take money to misrepresent the opinions of Thais. They are worthless.

Would you take a shameless liar into your home and believe word one of what they say? Probably not unless you are one of the few for whom the lies represent what they choose to think.

These pollsters are paid to deceive by a government that is paid to usurp. They can safely be ignored, because what they say cannot be verified and therefore must be assumed to be just smoke and mirrors.

You must have be a fan of  Tolkien. A very visual little essay.

Maybe the makings of a movie or a song along the lines of "Eve of Destruction" by Barry McGuire 40 years ago?

"Thailand's world, it is imploding,

Bullets firing,  bombs exploding,

Even the Chao Praya has bodies floating....... and so on.

Of course the people are impressed. He has eradicated human trafficking. He has solved the issue of slavery. He has reduced drug consumption. He has raised wages. He has solved the water problems. He has raised the profile of Thailand around the world. He has attracted more foreign investment. His wonderful tourism minister has been able to increase the flow of quality tourists. He has managed to keep Thailand peaceful, and free from major incidents. He has solved the problems in the south. He has boosted economic growth. He has arrested and imprisoned many high ranking police and government officials, who were found to be corrupt.

NOT.
