15 revolutionary activists freed on bail

BANGKOK: -- The Bangkok Military Court on Monday freed on bail 15 activists of the so-called Revolutionary Alliance for Democracy but banned them from engaging in political activities and from travelling abroad.

The 15 suspects are facing charges of defying an NCPO announcement regarding illegal assembly in public of more than five people and being members of an illegal organization in accordance with Section 209 of the Criminal Code.

Their lawyer, Mr Thanadet Puangpoon, put up the surety, 100,000 baht each, to obtain their bailout.

On August 19, the Bangkok Military Court ordered the 15 suspects detained for 12 days.

Brave people these ones for defying the regime. Hopefully their day will come sooner rather than later.

They fight for a free and fair nation to all people in the era of the Thai inquisition.

^^ To improve the inquisition? :coffee1:

I applaud these true sons of Thailand and hope they manage to inspire thousands more to fight for freedom in the face of oppression .

Democracy Activists.

Hopefully grandad's army will be next to at least get bail, and the others that have been locked away recently for not falling in to line.

15 Revolutionary Activist Freed on Bail  = 15 College Kids.

And they all headed off home for a cupa, scones and a nana nap. :coffee1:

I read in the paper that they were called "Communists" gee I hope Mr Xi the buddy of Mr. P does not get wind of this comment or it could mean that certain loans made could be called in. Mr. Xi has a very thin skin.

What a grand gesture from the junta!! These dangerous kids are probably paid by the bogeyman in Dubai so should rot in jail for forever!!!!

Right, junta fan boys?

Title V, "Offence Relating to Public Peace”:

Whoever to be a member of a body of persons whose proceedings are secret and whose aim to be unlawful, is said to be a member of a secret society, shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding seven years and fined not exceeding fourteen thousand Baht.

If the offender be the chief, manager or office-bearer in such body of persons, such person shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding ten years and fined not exceeding twenty thousand Baht.

Unless such a secret society is able to successfully overthrow a government. Then the Penal Code has no application.
