BANGKOK, 3 September 2016 (NNT) – The Election Commission (EC) expects the drafting of four organic draft acts to be completed next week.

EC chairperson Supachai Somcharoen said the electoral body is drafting four organic laws to be enforced alongside the permanent constitution. At this point, two of them have been finished and the others will be ready next week.

He said heads of provincial offices will send in their comments on the four drafts next week as well.

When finished, all the draft laws which pertain to the election of members of parliament (MPs) and the senate will be forwarded to the Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC).

As for the appointment of a new secretary-general of the electoral body, the chairman said the recruitment process is now underway as the recruiting committee is scanning candidates’ qualifications. The final decision will be made in October.

Since when do the buffoons at the Electoral Commission draft laws? That's the job of Parliament. The EC's job is to get people out to vote and to arrange internationally acceptable elections. In those things, they have been catastrophically incompetent.
