PHUKET:-- Work to put more of Phuket Town’s unsightly overhead cables underground were finally completed yesterday (Sept 4) 18 months after work started.

 

Boonrat Chareupong, Deputy Chief of Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority confirmed to The Phuket News today (Sept 5) that work on pulling down last three high voltage electricity poles on Yoawarat Rd was completed yesterday.

 

The most recent phase of the underground cable project on Yaowarat Rd started on March 2, 2015 and was expected to take at least 180 days to complete.
