US says Russian jet flew 10ft from plane over Black Sea

Did the article include that the US plane was approaching Russia with its transponder off? When the US does it, it's just flying according to international law.

When Russia does it, it's being reckless and dangerous.

What do you think the US would do if a Russian spy plane was approaching the US borders with its transponder off? It would go ape shit crazy and Kerry would be on TV within minutes whining about it.

The US needs to stop being hypocritical bullies.

It had ever right to be, it's international airspace.

And it was approaching Russia with its transponder turned off. It didn't have a right to do that.

What was the US plane doing in the Black Sea area....the USA is tens of thousands of miles away? Maybe the US should stop warmongering.

Possibly the folks in the internets should also note who has been the strongest Trump supporters on the forum and how they react when there is a conflict of interest between western world and Russia.

You know. And just saying..

Someday there will be an small mistake and the planes will collide. Then what?

what something like accidentally shooting down a large commercial airliner full of people?

or two?

What will happen? Well we know the answer to that...... hot air followed by not much.

It's like when the Americans complained about Russian over flights in the Baltic sea... The American destroyer was conducting exercises with German and Polish navies less than 70 miles from one of Russia's largest naval bases!

How would US react if the Russian navy held a big exercis with nuclear armed ships less than 70 miles from let say New York or Los Angeles, or maybe even closer, like 20 miles from New York as they would still be on international waters?! Just to point this with international and national waters... US complaints that the Iranian navy sends ships when US naval ships are in The Straight of Hormes... they are usually less than 12 nautical miles from Iran and therefore on Iranian waters as the straight is not that wide!

“hypocritical bullies”  “didn’t have the right”

I’ll help you this time.

- Military aircraft are not required to follow civilian air traffic management procedures.

-  Military aircraft may or may not use transponders, depending on their mission.

- Intruder missions are flown by many countries to assert and protect the use of international airspace.

- The U.S. is a member of NATO.  Black Sea security is a concern for NATO.

- Russia wants all NATO countries to use transponders.  Hence, the reason for this latest show of force.

Oh don't be silly. Russia has violated the airspace of my country. Yes, really, Russia has allowed their planes to fly inside to my country. Various times.

There is nothing to be explained afterwards. These incidents were hostile aggressions, not simple pilot mistakes.

If only Russia could be by itself, it would be the perfect solution. The world don't really need Russia and Russia don't really need the world. So, why don't we keep the both parties separated at the time? When co-operation between both parties is better, then we'll be happy to work together once again.

So, that ends our lesson for today.  Don’t forget to read!  It’s more fun than being stupid!

It was actually Finland which wished and suggested that all military planes should have transponders on, while flying near by our borders.

The request was an response to previous close calls, which happened in the Baltic sea in the past few years.

The request was also a ice breaker for both USA and Russia to avoid the next cold war.

Nobody really wishes to have the restrictions and the fear which the cold war brings to us individuals.

Nobody really wishes to survive the next hot war. It's really that bad.

Ukraine and Syria are obviously taking longer.

Chechnya took a really long time.

But hell, it took the USA 74 years to destroy Putin's Precious USSR.

Putin's so far out ahead of us it isn't even funny. :lol::lol:

Let me make this clear. That would kill all of us, anywhere in the world.

Both USA and Russia can destroy the way we live in 30 minutes. It doesn't matter where we live, we all are fcuked. Period.

Even if the smaller nuclear states, like India and Pakistan with their 100+ nukes, start a nuclear war, we all are most likely fcuked.

To be fcucked has nothing to do with the immediate and localised power of the nuclear weapons. To be fcucked has everything to do with the nuclear winter, these bombs create when they burn the cities.

I'm not sure if the small scale nuclear war between two minuscule nuclear countries could cause enough dust to fill our atmosphere to kill our crops for the next 5 years. However I'm quite sure, it's one of the things I'm not ready to bet on.

This is the message which has to get through to the warmongering folks.

It's called international waters for a reason.  If 70 miles away is international waters, which it, then you can legally be there.  You think Russia doesn't have war ships that close to the US?  They do, but they are legally there.  You don't see the US going out after them do you?

I could be wrong but didn't they do just that over Alaska in the last year or so?

And off the coast of California.  They weren't recon planes like this one, but fighter jets and bombers.  A bit of a difference which escapes some.

US jets intercepted Russian bombers off the California and Alaska coasts on July 4

Gotta love this:

In September, two Russian aircraft carried out a mock cruise-missile attack on the US.

And some call the US warmongers? :P

Probably the same thing the Russian's were doing when they actually entered the territory of the UK, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, etc, etc, etc.

So would you say perhaps Russia should stop warmongering?

P.S. this plane was in international airspace.  No violations involved.

And when the Russians approach other countries air space they get intercepted to ensure they don't encroach. Only no one moans and wines about it.

I don't think a bomber is the same thing as a recon plane.  And I doubt the US planes flew within 10 feet of the approaching aircraft.  Huge difference.

Yeah, how dare someone support a candidate like Trump who would oppose all this silly brinkmanship that could lead to a nuclear war.

I guess you missed his speech the other day on significantly  increasing military spending by a huge buildup. Certainly sounds like someone that is opposed to such brinkmanship.
