China’s Water Resources Minister visits Phetchaburi

  

PHETCHABURI, 9 September 2016 (NNT) – China’s Water Resources Minister, Mr. Chen Lei has visited Thailand with his retinue to study the royal environmental management project in Phetchaburi. 

Mr. Chen Lei and his visiting group were greeted by the deputy director of the Department of Water Resources, vice-governor of Petchaburi Pol Lt Col ML Kittibodee Prawit and deputy commander of Phetchaburi Provincial Police Pol Col Kitti Sapaothong. 

The Water Resources Minister then got a briefing on the project by Director of the Laem Phak Bia Environmental Study Research and Development Project, Kasem Chankao before touring the project site to observe the waste-to-fertilizer processing and waste water treatment technologies. 

Mr. Chen Lei later continued his trip to Chang-Hua-Mun Royal Initiative Project in Tayang District to see the environmental management and mangrove forest revival activities. The Chinese Minister and his retinue are scheduled to stay in Phetchaburi until 10th September.

They were just checking out how much more water they can release from their dams without drowning their investments...
