A standing charge of £183.32 for every European based aircraft crossing British airspace to travel West to the Americas. Ridiculous? Of course it is! As ridiculous as the strawpanda post. IMA_FARANG
I doubt very much if a Farang foriegner can do this. This is only for local workers entering Thailand to illegally work at dirt low wages in factories owhed by rich Thai Hi-So factory owners who have their Cambodian drivers drive their luxury cars around Bangkok taking their Mia Nois to high end expensive shopping malls to buy sxpensive clothes and such. Farang two dot zero
From memory I paid in 2015 1200 bahts to Cambodian customs for a visa renewal at this border !
Thian
After they found out that the Erawanbomber entered Thailand illegally at a border to Cambodia all the visarun-rules were changed for ALL foreigners. I expect the same thing will hapen again now...of course there's no need to jail/punish the immigration officers...

Don't even thank of trying this if your crossing over for a trip to Siem Reap. This scam has been going on for over a year. Before the coup 2014 it was 100 baht so you are getting a discount. BTW at this crossing the Cambodian Immigration change 1500 baht for a visa and 300 baht for doing a u-turn. I use this border to drive in with my thai registered car, ( most recent entry was July 24th) I have NEVER paid more than the required amount for a Cambodian visa (before $20,now $30) not once has anyone looked in my car to see if there was anyone in the backseat, ( this is coming and going) As to 50 baht, no big deal if ur heading to the casino Edited September 14, 2016 by phuketrichard

Haso
I have used this crossing on many occasions. This arrangement is for Thais and Cambodians only for visits on each side of the border either to go to the markets on the Thai side or the casinos on the Cambodian side. Believe me.. not for Farangs. Even though it is a F very friendly Farang border crossing you have to pay the correct fee and have your passport stamped upon entry and exit both ways. Not always the correct or incomplete reporting by news agencies. Different strokes for different blokes. No one can point the finger at Thailand as far as corruption goes. A good deal of it apparently goes on in the higher political circles of the USA, as we have been finding out recently. TallGuyJohninBKK
Wonder if the national Immigration commander, who is so concerned about threats to national security, will direct his "good guys in, bad guys out" policy toward his own border staff? Meanwhile, supposedly, the Erawan bombers paid some thousands of baht apiece to cross the Thai border without all the normally required documents and procedures. They must be feeling like big chumps right now, if they find out that they actually could have come to Thailand and it only would have cost them 50 baht each!!! BTW, I see some posters above are suggesting the method described in the OP article is a normal thing for Thais and Cambodians crossing the border there. Just wondering, if it is all normal and above board, then why according to the article are all the Immigration folks refusing to give any comment about it???
