Press members led on tour to Chiang Rai international airport

  

CHIANG RAI, 15 September 2016 (NNT) – Press members were led on a tour to Chiang Rai international airport which has been praised as the best of the Airports of Thailand (AOT) in 37 years. 

Anoma Phalinsut, director of Special Affairs and Media Relations Division of Suvarnabhumi airport, led over 30 press members and public relations officers to observe operations of Chiang Rai international airport in the northernmost province. 

Chiang Rai Maefaluang international airport director Itthiphorn Boonari pointed out the rapid growth of the airport which covers an area of 3,326 rai of land or about five square kilometers. 

It was officially opened on August 5, 1992, and has continually been developed since. The number of tourists visiting Chiang Rai province has increased yearly with more preferring air travels.
