BANGKOK, 17 September 2016 (NNT) – Thai parliament is set to welcome New Zealand ambassador to Thailand in November this year.

Thamrong Dasananjali, chairman of the Thailand-New Zealand Parliamentary Friendship Group, convened a meeting with responsible officials who will welcome the New Zealand ambassador at Parliament House on November 2, 2016.

The ambassador’s visit is to strengthen diplomatic and parliamentary relations between the two countries.

Thailand and New Zealand have participated in joint activities on a number of occasions. For instance, in March this year, Thai parliamentarians joined a seminar on the topic of policy reform, with former New Zealand deputy prime minister Jim McLay giving his remarks on the issue. The seminar was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand

Thai parliamentarians also attended a special lecture by former New Zealand prime minister James Brendan Bolger on August 30.

Truly strong parliamentarians like the Thais in their own domain doesn't need the approval of others any more than a lion needs the approval of the ambassador of sheep.

I take it the ambassador realizes that after the meeting the Thais will issue a statement on his behalf, all positive and supportive of course,

Did his lordship nod off on his keyboard?;);)

One does become a tad over expressive/melodramatic in the wee hours especially when a few drams inspire the brain to contact the digits to enthral or captivate some avid TV readers late am who might care to listen to my tripe but God loves a trier .. Lol

What was the need of that nasty little rant. Nobody said the ambassador was coming to give approval of any such thing.

It said they were going to strengthen their relations, and why shouldn't they since nz has been a friend of Thailand for a very long time. Perhaps you might need to brush up on reading for understanding skills, lest you might be mistaken for having the brains of a sheep.

Benjamin King.                                             Not the blues singer, he passed away 18 months ago.

Pollies do like to get their little perks, don't they? I do hope the  DPM and an x-PM enjoyed their little boondoggle in Bangers.

Reminds me of Dennis Thatcher's version of the meaning of CHOGM.

Will he be bringing his wife or his sheep.

Scot, you are as out of date as Bolger and McLay.... "Ambassador of Sheep" is soooo last century

Mind you, the Scots and Brits gorged themselves on Kiwi ovine products whilst they could get them on the cheap....

Let’s share, You’ll take the grenade, I’ll take the pin.
