Yes they have become a real pain. Even my moto taxi guy has started handing me a helmet for the first time in over 2 years.

Yes... if you are a bit delicate, please stay west of Sukhumvit and leave the dark side to the hard men (and harder women) that live out there. We want quality tourists too y'know?

For anyone living in Wongamat Beach, there's a new open mall being constructed across the street from the Centara Grand Mirage resort. It's supposed to open later this year and will contain restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, etc. With any luck, the grocery store will be good. And the area could use a few more restaurants.
