Practicing Dharma in an environment awash with Cannabis?
A few observations I made regarding some of the differences: Alcohol & drugs take minimal effort, while sitting & mindfulness practice needs considerable regular effort. Habitual use of alcohol & drugs appears to result in diminished affect. Increasing dosage to compensate can result in health issues. Sitting & mindfulness practice is totally natural, untaxed, & experiences can increase with practice (some say all the way to infinity). In most places it's not a criminal offence to be high on mindfulness. -

A.I is still struggling with this humor, but almost there.... Ah, that's a classic math joke! Let me break it down for you: The square root of -1 is an imaginary number, denoted as "i". It's called imaginary because it doesn't exist in the traditional number line. In mathematics, "i" is also commonly used as a variable to represent an imaginary number. So, when you divide "i" by 8, you get "i/8", which sounds similar to "eye ate" when spoken aloud. Therefore, the punchline of the joke is that the result of dividing the square root of -1 by 8 is "i/8" or "eye ate", which is a pun that sounds like "I ate". It's a play on words that's meant to be silly and fun, but also shows off a bit of math knowledge! -

No one actually "buys" a bar over here, they are all rented out for a period of time. Short term leases or renting are basically the same, the owner holds the freehold. -

My amphur office in BKK wanted a letter from embassy confirming passport (then translated into Thai by MFA) as well as a Thai witness ( not family). Headache getting emb appointment, had to wait 4 or 5 weeks for app date They even wanted my (deceased) parents full names, for some reason! If you bring everything, incl the kitchen sink, you should be ok -

It's quite simple, or was for me at Udon Thani (muang), and Prachuap Khiri Khan (muang). Need who ever holds the 'Blue Book' of house, to simply authorize you issued a yellow book. Then in same office, for me, walk over and have Pink ID issued. Only think I needed was my Passport. edit: I didn't need to be married, and was not in Udon Thani for 2 yellow books.
