Hi TV,

Please can somebody tell me what marriage certificate(s) needs to be taken to savannakhet  for this visa?

Some people are telling me 1, some say 2. (It it kor 1 and kor 2?)

The reason for asking is because we lost one of ours (The pretty one with the flowery boarder) so only have one left. We reported it lost at the police station and got a slip of some sort from the police.

So, will I be able to get this visa with only 1 of the flowery bordered certificates???

I'd really appreciate the answer as I don't want to go if I can't get the visa.

Thanks!!

You only need one fancy marriage certificate (Kor Ror 3). No need for both of them that you got when you registered your marriage.

To be on the safe side take both Kor ror 3 and an updated Kor ror 2 your mrs can go into any amphur to get the updated one needs her ID card is all and 20 bht. All they do is print and sign and date it on the day you go for it. Hence updated copy. Better to be safe than sorry

No need for an updated kor ror 2, I'm not sure if they looked at the Kor Ror 2, but if they did i would have only had the original from 10 years ago. have never had the need to get an updated one.

Why take the risk for 20 bht one officer might not want to see it the next might. There have been reports that a name change form was needed (change to married name). Who knows take everything you have which is easy all will have the documents mentioned. Can you imagine going all the way to be told they want an updated Kor ror 2 which you had read about but because they didn't ask last year you didn't bother. No visa for 20 bht? ????. Only show the basic forms which are always listed but just in case you are holding others.

And no before someone says you would need a truck to carry them.

With copies

Marriage cert/wifes ID and house book/your passport pages.

Then carry with copies

Kor ror 2/name change cert/laos visa and stamp copy/

Easy really all bases covered.
