Captive Blue House Book

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I am sure this has been discussed somewhere...

My wife's Aunt, the holder of the house-book, is asking for 100,000 baht for a rental fee for the book.

I need it to do an extension based on marriage to my current NON-O Visa. My VISA expires 11 October.

What are my options?

My wife and I rent a condo, have a child and live in the same city as the EVIL witch of the East.

My wife's brother owns a house and has his own book... and I have copies of the pages required; first page with my daughter and first page with my wife.

I was thinking she could get a copy of the original book from the GVT house or,

Be put on her brothers book or,

have the copies I currently have stamped/certified...

Thanks again gents... you have made my stay in the LOS a good one so far.

Eddie

Can't you move house ? I wouldn't allow anyone to control me like that.

we live in the same city... but have our own condo

If your wife's brother is agreeable, and doesn't charge 200,000 baht, get your wife and child on his blue book. I know Thais that do this all the time, or at least used to. Potential problem with that is of course would be removing their names from the aunt's book.

Do you have your own book for the condo? Not sure if that would work though.
