I just renewed/extended my stay based on Marriage. Can i travel out of Thailand and return on "Marriage Visa" ?

If you applied for and obtained a one year extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon marriage you can leave the country but will need a re-entry permit to keep you extension valid.

A single re-entry permit costs 1000 baht and a multiple 3800 baht.

You do not have a Visa but you can go forward with your plan with a Re entry Permit.

If you have a Multiple Entry, things look a little bit different. 

Do you have a one year extension of stay or just a 30 day under consideration stamp?  Will make a difference in what type of re-entry permit might be most cost effective and if only a 30 day under consideration you need to return before it expires as that will also be your re-entry permit date.  

Just to be clear ...

• If you have an unexpired multiple entry visa (a sticker in your passport with number of entries "M" and enter before date prior to your proposed return to Thailand) you are all set and need to do nothing special.
• If you do not have an unexpired visa, it is important to establish your "permitted to stay" date. It may be the date given to you when you originally entered the country using a visa, or might be a later date achieved by applying for one or more extensions of stay. Having established when your right to be in the country expires
  • if this date is earlier than your proposed return to Thailand, you have a problem that will probably need to be solved by applying for a new visa before your return.
  • If you will be returning prior to the expiry of your right to be in Thailand, you can apply for a "re-entry permit". This prevents your current right to be in Thailand from being canceled when you leave the country. You get the re-entry permit at your local immigration office, or at the airport on your day of departure.
