Can anybody tell me if it is possible to extend a 60 day tourist visa, with border crossings and visa extensions at the immigration office, I would like to stay for four months if possible.

Thanks.

  • You can extend a 60 day Tourist Visa entry by 30 days at an Immigration Office for 1,900 baht.
  • You can exit and immediately re-enter by land (not all borders) using the Visa Exempt Scheme (if you're from a qualifying country) and will be granted permission to stay for 15 or 30 days. Only nationals from G7 countries get 30 days.
  • A 15 or 30 day Visa Exempt Entry can be also extended by 30 days at Immigration (1,900 baht).

G7 countries: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK, USA.

I was referring specifically to land border entries which I believe the OP is asking about.
