Body in the freezer latest: "Peter's" "terrified" ex wife and former maid may both hold the key to crack the case

BANGKOK: -- Police in Bangkok are talking to the former wife of the suspect known as "Peter" in the case of the passport forgery gang who had a cut up corpse in a freezer.

 

Sanit Mahathavorn of the met police said that they were talking to "Peter's" ex wife who has now remarried. The sanook.com report did not indicate her nationality, reported Sannok.

 

Sanit said: "She is terrified of him. She has suffered physical abuse at his hands and is still scared of him. She said he is a person with a quick temper".

 

Sanit said that she took some persuading to come in to give evidence but that her information could help to break the case and find out who the man in the freezer is and who put him there.

 

Also key to the case, said Sanit, is a former maid who worked for "Peter" for some years before resigning to go and live with her husband. 

 

It is not known if this woman is in Thailand or not and police are trying to locate her.

 

The man known as Peter is suspected of being a ringleader in the case.

 

He has also been named as Herbert and Charlie but is saying very little as police build their case.

 

Two other men are also being held in the case after a raid at a business premises in Sukhumvit Soi 56 last Friday when a tourist policeman was shot.
