Thai innovators have chance to meet potential investors

BANGKOK, 6 September 2016 (NNT)-Innovators now have a chance to commercialize their products via a joint initiative of Thai and American organizations.

The Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA) has joined forces with King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Stamford International University and Houston Technology Center to provide advice and support for Thai innovators.

Their primary job is to match innovations with investors. They will also help identify sources of money for inventors as well. Those looking to find potential investors to develop and commercialize their inventions are able to seek advice at Stamford International University at Exchange Tower on Sukhumvit road, Bangkok.

It would be better if they were less xenophobic than other countries and all everyone to participate.

Yeah, are they only after americans? Well that tells me a lot (and enough).

Thai innovators are surely as rare as a hen's teeth. As has been said many times, Thais are imitators, not innovators. The whole Thai education system (including at university level) is designed to prevent fresh, challenging and creative thought.

Why aren't Thai investors checking out the opportunities with local innovators?? I can answer that. They are not interested  because there is far more profit for them by investing in neighbouring countries with higher productivity. Thai investors are spending zillions in Vietnam and Myanmar.

So the local innovators have to suck up to the Americans. And for them this is just a holiday trip and afterwards they will disappear never to be seen or heard of again. You can almost imagine their laughter on the flight home.
