October 6, 20169 yr UKIP MEP collapses outside EU parliament Catherine Hardy STRASBOURG: -- Steven Woolfe, the favourite to become the next leader of UKIP, is in hospital after collapsing outside the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Reports suggest Woolfe was punched by a colleague during a ‘clear the air meeting.’ It is claimed Woolfe appeared fine after the altercation but collapsed later complaining of losing “the feeling down one side of his body,” according to one witness. UKIP, the party that claimed victory in the recent Brexit vote, has been in turmoil since former leader Nigel Farage stood down and Diane James quit after 18 days in the post. Responding to questions from reporters, a UKIP spokesperson described Mr Woolfe as “conscious and recovering” in hospital. -- © Copyright Euronews 2016-10-07
October 7, 20169 yr A sad state to see. It appears he had had a fight with a colleague. Hardly adult stuff in politics taking your jacket off over a difference of opinion.
October 7, 20169 yr Harsh but the idiot brought it non himself. It went like this apparently Yorkshire MEP walks into his auditorium where Woolfe was giving a speech, Yorksghire MEP heckles Woolfe about his decision to defect to Tories 24 hours earlier. Woolfe takes off his jacket and says those immortal words "right you! outside now" Yorkshire MEP obliges and decks him. Woolfe goes back to Auditorium but collapses 30 minutes later.
October 7, 20169 yr UKIP was the anti EU party and their purpose was to get the UK to leave. Thanks to the bigger fish getting involved that has now been decided so there is absolutely no point in the party at all. Nigel recognised that very quickly and jumped ship. If ever there was a party with no future then this is it!

Hope the guy recovers. That he's a member of that tacky party with One Westminster M. P. run (occasionally) by that spiv Fuhrage should not preclude wishes for a speedy recovery t. 6 hours ago, Laughing Gravy said: A sad state to see. It appears he had had a fight with a colleague. October 7, 20169 yr It's unfortunate for UKIP that there is no breaking news at the moment so the Woolfe story will keep churning on for now. In reality it is a storm in a tea cup that should have been put to bed already.

Incredibly accurate and appropriate. Well done sir!
October 7, 20169 yr Hope he recovers fully and returns well to his family and friends. Have to say though that the only thing missing in the photograph is a big Union Jack on his back.
October 7, 20169 yr Unfortunately there are too many bully boys in politics, if this "fisty-cuff" took place on EU premises I hope the EU suspends one or both of them for some time.
October 7, 20169 yr Hookem has now given his side of the story. He says there was no punch or even a slap. There was a scuffle and Woolfe tripped and fell onto another MEP member. Woolfe claims that Hookem landed a punch. Who knows what really happened but one thing is for sure, these people are not suitable for the positions they hold.
October 7, 20169 yr Punching each other is elegant in its simplicity. So unlike the memorized rhetoric crap.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
