BANGKOK, 8 October 2016 (NNT) – The new Director General of the Comptroller General's Department, Suttirat Rattanachot, said on Friday that the department will ensure that the government spends its money for the maximum benefit of the nation.

Speaking at an event celebrating the Comptroller General's Department’s 126th anniversary, Suttirat who succeeded Manas Jamveha vowed that the department will make sure that all disbursements of state funds strictly follow the rules and regulations, and that spending of the funds is in the best interests of the country and its citizens.

She said a large number of small projects worth around 90 billion baht will be spearheaded in the first quarter of fiscal 2017 while mega projects will commence in the second and third quarters.

Suttirat was the deputy permanent secretary for finance before she became the new Director General of the Comptroller General's Department.

What utter BS, he'll do exactly as he's told and if any ' irregularities ' are highlighted they'll be glossed over, excused or explained away etc as per usual.

Yup, the whole event was organised specifically and only so her friends, family and staff can see how important she is. Understanding why requires an understanding of Thainess.

No question of the ethics or morality to do the job as it should be done just done as instructed.

People like this know if anything untoward is uncovered it will be made to go away irrespective of who is in power.
