Featured Replies

Heyya,

Came across the insect/animal thing in a cave in Phu Phan National Park (attached).

Any idea on what it is?

cheers

Does it's bite harm as much as the well know centipedes?

Try to comb your hair and you will learn :cheesy:

Certainly a beautiful critter.

Interesting blue colour to the centipede if it really is blue and not a trick of the torch light.

I've seen similar critters here in the US, in particular in Maryland.  We call them 'house' centipedes.

See here for more info:  http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/house-centipedes

AFAIK, they are harmless.  They run fast, can climb walls, and generate a huge scare, especially if they are very big and the room is dark.
