shared bank account for retirement visa

Featured Replies

this question is for a friend of mine he is over 50 and has a bank account together with his son with more than 2 million

baht in it.  will immigration accept that bank account for his extension renewel

thanks

rick

It would be best if he were to ask his immigration office.

Some immigration offices do not allow a joint account while others will allow one if a person has over 1.6 million baht in the account.

The rule is that the account should be in the sole name of the applicant, but it might be worth asking at the local immigration office that will process the application.

The best thing for him to do is check with immigration at Promenada to find out their policy.

Not sure if you would get the correct answer on the CM forum.
