Blue bruce
I had adked the forum if anyone had any experience with the Roku tv box. Someone suggested downloading kodi tv. I guess they must have a degree in computer technology to use Kodi. I downloaded Kodidownloadapp.com. after following the instructions there is a myriad of downloads to make kodi work . Whoever said this is simple must be a computer wiz which I am not
thedemon
If you find it complicated to install Kodi addons and just want to get going right away you could install a "kodi build". You can easily find hundreds of them if you google but this would be a good place to start: https://seo-michael.co.uk/best-kodi-builds-2016/ Make sure you start with a fresh install of kodi from: https://kodi.tv/download/ Then follow the step by step instructions of whichever build you choose. JetsetBkk
I went from "What the heck is Kodi and what ever happened to XBMC?" to watching the Olympics live on my Windows 10 PC, which is one of the very few reasons I've put that <deleted> stuff on my hard disk. All I did was watch lots and lots of Youtube videos. Some presenters are good, most are rubbish and some you just want to punch in the face. So you could do worse than start with this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_qF20dpb4k or this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nr5Mz2Yci4c Once you get the hang of going to System, File manager, Add source, then type the url, eg. http://fusion.tvaddons.ag, give it a name eg. "Fusion", then go Home, System, Add-ons, Install from zip file, specify "Fusion", etc, etc, install from Repository, etc, etc... , well, it's a piece of cake, isn't it? (OK, I'm reading from the notes I made while watching dozens of Youtube videos, but eventually it all worked, well, sort of...) Good luck!
ignis
When I got a Android box, also had no end of problems..........I already used XBMC and Kodi on my PC.. ended up downloading the Android version to a USB stick on the PC and lots of what I wanted to watch [had most on my PC anyway] Was easy, and now if I find something is not so good any more or a good new site/ program comes is easy to pull the USB stick and pop into PC and delete or add more. No idea is a Roku tv box a Android box? just be sure to download Kodi for the right device and save direct to the USB stick.. guess the computer wiz people can add it to the box direct via networking or something, I,m not and have tried for years, saying that bought a new Smart TV 6 months ago, that was no problem and can get my PC on that.. As a P.S. I tried only last week going direct via the Android box to upgrade to Kodi 17, [was still on 14.2] made a right mess and hours of trying, used the PC was straight forward, now as working well must do the same on the laptop running 15.2 and the PC itself running 16.

I often use a PC based version of Kodi to get things as I like then copy settings to Android install, which I think is what you are suggesting? It's not exactly clear from your post how you get from "pull the USB stick and pop into PC and delete or add more" to having a working system again on Android? Only really any good for paid content, which is usually overpriced.
Blue bruce
For all those that don't know a Roku box is similar to an apple tv box. I agree the content in Thailand is very limited and overpriced. If you use Roku in America or Canada it works well and is highly rated.
