Non-teaching Thai Jobs? (i.e.writer, Newspaper)

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I am planning on traveling to Thailand in August, and hopefully I will be staying for at least one year. I have heard about teaching English in Thailand, and that is a strong possibility, but does anyone know if it's possible to get a job at a Newpaper or as a writer for any English publications in Thailand? This would be my first choice. I don't really have a salary requirement, just as long as it's enough to live decently on.

I am a recent college graduate (I earned a B.A. in Literature/American Studies), and have an extensive portfolio of articles that have been published locally (central California).

Any info on non-teaching jobs for foreigners in Thailand is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

Bump. Please wait for further postings. One profession or casual job that has not been discussed when weighing your options is Proof reading but i'm not sure where to find the information on this topic. Sorry, anyone?.......

Thaimee.

I have a friend that is the editor of several local english magazines and he usually deals with free lancers. Please PM me if you need further info to contact him.
