RAYONG: -- A well known Thai teacher of Chinese language had a lucky escape Tuesday when he ended up driving into a Rayong klong.

Dr Hanthorn Narong, 58, had swerved to avoid a motorcycle near the Tha Krasao Bridege in Ban Laeng district, reports Daily News.

He ended up sinking in the klong but managed to maintain his composure and smash a window of his Honda Civic with his elbow.

He was then helped from the vehicle by three members of the public who saw the accident and jumped into the klong.

The three good Samaritans were named as Narong Sriwilai, Adun Yatra and Kiatsak Yenjaturat.

The matter is now in the hands of the insurance company.

And we're sure the motorcycle was driving entirely according to the traffic laws. That's why he didn't stop at the scene of the accident, indeed.

And the name of the farang Samaritan?
