October 21, 20169 yr Hi to all those internet gurus. Would like to know if a VPN provider is going to help with video streaming from Netflix. I am having issues while trying to watch movies at night, I don't seem to have any problems during the day. I am with True vision and get good download speeds (average 30-40MB). I am using my LG smart home theatre system for Netflix via a LAN cable from the router. I have looked at many of the top VPN providers and many say they provide good speeds for Netflix users, True or False?, or will the VPN only work when I am using my PC which operates by WiFi? Any suggestions Cheers
October 21, 20169 yr OMG ... another VPN thread.Lets make sure we all understand you:You are not on True Vision but on True Internet.Your download speed is not 30-40 MB but 30-40mb (read about the difference on the web). And that is Thai bandwidth. As Netflix servers are outside Thailand your real throughput is lower. Take a test at testmy.netBecause almost everyone is online in the night Netflix is suffering.A VPN wont help because there is not one VPN provider who provides unblocked servers in the region. Your best bet might be Smart DNS service from expressvpn but works on and off. But that is geared towards unblocking content instead of a speed boost.Altogether there are not many providers who are able to unblock Netflix. Ask first before signing up. Remember what works today, is probably not working tomorrow.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
October 21, 20169 yr Have you gone through the entire Thailand Netflix catalogue? Otherwise why are you using a VPN?
October 21, 20169 yr He is not trying to get more netflix content but to speedup the current catalogue.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
October 21, 20169 yr It surprises me you're not aware that using a Spore vpn you can achieve better speeds than on a 'vanilla' connection. He is aiming to do that Netflix which won't work because Netflix blocks the connection.
