What things here in Thailand just don't make sense to you?

I know, I know. I can probably expect dozens or even hundreds of responses, so here are a couple from me to start off with.

1 - on the tv news, when someone stands there being interviewed surrounded by loads of mics, why do we almost never hear what they are actually saying? The newsreader just keeps going and going. Why do they even bother sending the crews out? :o

2 - on the skytrain, why can you not buy a single trip ticket except from a machine? There are staff there selling multi-trip tickets and to give change for the ticket machines. So why do you have to queue to get change, and queue again to buy the ticket? :D

Why is there a guy dressed in drag on every TV comedy show?

Why I have regular conversations similar to this example:

ME: - I went to Daves house today.

WIFE: Oh yes.

ME: Yes, he wants to come over and borrow my bike tomorrow.

WIFE: - Who does?

ME: - :D:o DAVE!!!

Personal taste, obviously, but sweet yoghurt with corn & beans in. Who eats that?

My partner "cooked a pizza" for me. It was a dough with some slices of bologna, pastry frosting, and cooked corn.

And why do they test students at school with absurd questions that have four wrong answers or three equally good answers, and everybody passes anyway?

When the weather gets up to 28 degrees and all my students turn up at school with heavy jackets, woollen hats and gloves!
