Should I import my 10 year Subie Forester from Singapore

I am being transferred to Bkk.  I have a 9.5 year old Subie Forester (Turbo - 150,000 km and in good shape) here that is due for 'scrapping' in April (Singapore COE system forces compulsory deregistration at 10 years unless you pay for a new COE - currently around USD40,000).

I will have a B visa (non immigrant) for one year.

The car is really not worth much in Singapore (roughly $5,000 for the 'body')  and I note that the import duties are high in Thailand as well as the process being a bit draconian.

However I like my Subie.  What is the import cost actually like to be? Has anyone an agent they can recommend who can help import the vehicle (I'll need an agent in Singapore as well but I think I can find one here).

Thanks in advance.

I thought it's effectively impossible to import used cars unless you are Thai and have owned it overseas for a minimum of 2 years. Take the scrap value in Singapore and be happy.

The law appears to allow a foreigner with a 1 year B Visa to import (permanently) a used vehicle, I am curious as to the customs duties etc.

For those coming after me asking the same...

OK  - 328% levied on the Parkers Guide value (less 25%) ...

A 10 yo car worth GBP4,000 in the Parkers Guide would cost GBP17,000 without insurance and freight and clearance costs.... clearly not worth it.  The scrap value in Singapore alone is around GBP5,000 in April next year.
