seesip
Hoping to send some friends to a waterfall tomorrow but not sure what's the best option. Thanks.
hml367
If you have transportation, time, and stamina, this place is nice. http://www.chiangmai.bangkok.com/attractions/bua-thong-waterfall.htm#promo https://www.google.com/maps/place/Buatong+Waterfall+-+Chetsi+Spring+Forest+Park/@19.0697833,99.0774372,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x30da1be7e31e14c3:0xef1e6069356cc8bb!8m2!3d19.0697782!4d99.0796259 Edited October 24, 2016 by hml367 add Google map
Johpa
You might try Tard Mok in Mae Rim, tambon Mae Raem. Never many people, if any, there during midweek. Far more scenic and closer to nature than Mae Sa waterfall. It is also close to many other tourist sites. There are foreigner priced entrance fees. Sandy Freckle
Ive been to Mae Sa a couple of times..., it was quite ok. Some may choose to say the water quality is suss but we've had a couple of swims there...., not much space but the water was really cool and refreshing - sitting on a rock under the water fall up on level 7 to 8 (can't recall exactly). sfokevin
I second Bua Thong waterfall... bit of a drive but worth it!... Take your swimsuits... and once on the small road about a mile from the waterfall parking lot is a great Buddhist temple cave... You will see the white Naga steps leading up a cliff - this leads up to a cave with a large Buddha statue in it... A bit spooky but great!
