Entering Thailand with multiple entry visa on old passport

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I am currently out of Thailand. My Non-O Multiple Entry Visa (based on marriage) expires on Feb-1, 2017. My passport has 1 blank page left  now and I would like to apply for a new passport before I go to Thailand in 2 weeks.

My question is, will I have problem entering Thailand showing my new passport and old passport (corner cut the front page but with my visa in it) together at immigration? I'll stay for a weekend and leave Thailand for Vietnam then. I'll have another 5-6 visits to Thailand before my visa expires on Feb-1. Each stay is 3-5 days. I did this entering USA without problem in the past but not sure if it's ok in Thailand and not sure what to do next.

You will have no problem showing both passports. Your visa remains valid even if the old passport is cancelled.

Thank you so much!

Shouldn't be any problem.
