home ownership in thailand

Featured Replies

hi I'm applying for a visa for my gf in January, she has paperwork to show she owns land there but she also owns the house that is on that land, is the land ownership enough to prove she owns the property too or is there different paperwork to obtain for this?

I'm not sure if a tabien baan is also sufficient enough.

my gf father died 10 years ago and she inherited the land, her mum still lives in the house but my gf is the owner. any advice on this would be apprieciated so I can be sure she has the correct paperwork to prove this.

thai naming for the paperwork needed would be helpful so I can tell her and she understands better.

thanks

What kind of visa, and to what country?

If a Tourist Visa to the USA, I'd expect home ownership would not be a big factor in granting the visa.  For proof of ownership, the Chanot is sufficient, tambien ban with her name on the first page indicates she's the head-of-family at that address.

would the tabien baan with her name at the top prove that she is the home owner to the ECO or would futher proof be needed?

Chanote would prove the land ownership, tabien bahn for the house.

thank you, so if my gfirst name was the first name on the tabien baan this would satisfy an ECO that she owns the home?
