BANGKOK: -- A security guard was left in a heap after he was attacked by a man in a pick-up on the Bangkok expressway on Sunday morning.

Aniruth Saengmitr, 52, told Prachacheun police that he was assaulted by a passenger in a bronze colored Isuzu pick-up at the Srirat toll booth, reports Daily News.

He was covered in bruises to his face after having already been treated at hospital for an injury to his left eye.

Aniruth said that the pick-up arrived and drove up to Booth 13, an Easy Pass lane. The barrier failed to open because they did not have an Easy Pass account.

The toll collector said they should back up and go to another booth but then they went to Booth 12 that was another Easy Pass section.

An argument then broke out with the toll collector there and after he suspected that a weapon was being pulled out by one of the five men on the pick-up the toll collector yelled out for security.

Aniruth raced over and was then attacked by a man in the front passenger seat. He was punched repeatedly in the face and knocked down ending up in a heap by the Easy Pass barrier.

The pick-up raced off but police who have now studied the CCTV know the identity of the owner of the vehicle and have called him in for interview.

Sitting around all day drinking and smoking and day dreaming , waiting for their wives or GF's to get home with some baht, have plenty of Energy

Tiny devices are causing extreme stress......authorities should consider increasing size to at least 6 inches.

A Burmese troll post has been removed as well as a well pointed out reply, "humour" of that nature went out of style awhile back.

Interview? Oh, for a job with the police; right........

Another preemptive, defense strike.

In any other civilised country he wouldn't be arrested, why should he be?

Police:  " Yo!  How ya doing?  Hey, if you would not mind and if it is not going to trouble you any too much,  we would like you to stop by the police department offices and have a chat about some awful allegation that someone in the truck that you own beat the crap out of a security guard.  Please be aware that this is only an interview and we don't think you will really need to be here very long at all.  Just come in when you get the chance.  Make it easy on yourself.  Thank you for taking my phone call."

Owner:  "Yeah, I'll be sure and do that."
