Sansern denies hackers targeted his email account

BANGKOK: -- GOVERNMENT Spokesman Lt-General Sansern Kaewkamnerd yesterday rejected an unconfirmed report that the Anonymous hacker group had threatened to attack his email, saying the account targeted was not his.

The group has been fighting with the government since officials proposed a single Internet gateway for the country late last year. The attacks have included government websites.

"...Kaewkamnerd said he rarely used email daily – preferring to use Line..."

So, does this mean that LINE is his "official" communications tool.

Hope he has told all his associates about this (or does he think that everyone only communicates in "stickers").

Hilary Clinton was investigated for using non government email servers, and this dude uses Line. I think his nickname must be Pinocchio.

That means it was his account.

The RTP main frame was out for a week awhile back and not a mention in the media about it , all they got on their screens was derogatory remarks about the Junta....................................................:coffee1:

I can understand Anonymous's actions bring to light opposition of the single gateway that is being proposed. Power to the people and all that good stuff.

However, I can't get it out of my head that attacks/hacks on government websites, email accounts, etc actually play into the hands of the very people they are attacking and in a twisted way endorse the use of tighter control in a security sense.

If the single gateway was up and running, and they then hacked, that would be another story.
