Single entry tourist visa

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I am going to visit Thailand in January from 1st till 25th.
I am owner of Montenegrin passport, therefor my citizenship is Montenegro.
My nearest Thai consulate is in Zagreb, Croatia. I received information from them that I can not apply in their consulate for multiple entry tourist visa as a foreigner, just single entry tourist visa.
I intend to leave Thailand twice during my visit, so my question is if it is possible to obtain multi re-entry stamp (3800 TBH) on my single entry tourist visa in immigration offices in Bangkok or on Don Muang airport before departing to Mandalay.

Also, i saw new procedure with queue online which should be appointed 2 working days in advance. First issue is that I will arrive on 1st January, and I can apply for queue only 1 day in advance, because I leave Thailand on 4th January and before I will not have all data (TM6 number) to fill the request.
Other issue is that my nationality (Montenegrin - Montenegro is country doesn't exist in this drop down list).

You can get a re-entry permit for your trips at either airport in Bangkok on departure form the country. The re-entry permit would keep the remainder of your 60 day entry from the tourist visa valid when you enter the country. A single re-entry permit is 1000 baht and a multiple 3800 baht.

You do not have to make the appointment online to get a re-entry permit at immigration in Bangkok.

In order to get multiple entry tourist visa you would have to apply for it at the designated Thai embassy for Montenegro. Not sure but I think it would the embassy in Athens.

Hello thanks for your update.

For Montenegro it is embassy in Budapest or Bucharest.

I saw new info on immigration website for obtaining re-entry permit you must schedule visit to immigration office in Bkk.

60 days lasting visa for Thailand for me is enough, i was just worried about multi re-entry on single entry visa.

The easiest way would be to obtain re-entries on Don Muaeng airport befor leaving to Myanmar, so i don't lose time in Bkk, i am just worried if I should do it one day jn advance to avoid possible unpleasentness or inability to get this multi re entry at the airport.

Do it at Don Muang. Allow plenty of time in case, unusually, there is a queue. The re-entry permit desk is just past the immigration counter for stamping out of the country, and is easy. Usually it takes only about 20 minutes or less. Just make sure you have photos.

I assume it is not possible to obtain re-enty on arrival at Suvarnbhhumi airport in Bkk, because i read that office is after check in and they ask boarding pass as proof you are leaving country?!

The re-entry desk at Suvanabhumi has moved, and is now in the main departure area before security. However, it does not mater. The airports will only issue you a re-entry permit if you have a boarding pass to leave on an international flight that day.

Hello again, i read somewhere that it is not possible to obtain multiple re-entry at airport immigration checkpoints?
Can anyone share experience that proves different?

You read wrong. There have been multiple reports on these forums of people getting multiple re-entry permits at Suvanabhumi.

Thank you so much for answer. I might be boring with repetition of the same question all over again, just i am a bit worried if everything will be ok on Don Mueang getting this multi re-entry.

This forum was very helpful.
