Ramathibodi Hospital hosts seminar on elevating Thai hospital standards

BANGKOK, 17 November 2016 (NNT) – Ramathibodi Hospital has jointly held a seminar on hospital standards in Thailand emphasizing the enhancement of medical technology.

Ramathibodi Hospital, joined by Mahidol University, the Healthcare Accreditation Institute, the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center, RFS Co Ltd and the Ministry of Science and Technology, has organized a seminar on supporting Thailand’s hospital standards.

The second seminar of its kind was opened by the permanent secretary for science and technology, who led all in attendance in observing a moment of silence in tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The first lecture of the seminar focused on adapting technology for the medical realm for sustainable development. It called for technology to be applied to all aspects of hospitals, from their maintenance to patient care. It noted the role of the “Internet of Things” and the need to develop personnel ready to utilize it.

New evaluation metrics and systems are being presented as part of the seminar in an effort to elevate the standards of Thai hospitals.
