I have a non-b which expires on December 1st 2016. I am flying out of Thailand (no return) on December 13th. I went to my local immigration today and they can only extend my visa by 7 days which isn't enough. I am aware that I can pay an overstay fine before I leave but I would rather not have to pay 6,000 Baht and have possible complications at the airport before I depart. The guy at immigration told me I should go to Cambodia and do a visa run there. My concerns are;

-If I leave Thailand before my non-B expires do I need paperwork from my employer to say my contract is terminated?

-Can I get a 15 day visa in one day or will I need to stay in Cambodia for a night?

 

Any info or help would be great. Thanks in advance.
