Some roads to re-open around Grand Palace and Sanam Luang: police

BANGKOK:-- TRAFFIC Police will cancel the closure of 27 roads around the Grand Palace and Sanam Luang – although eight main roads will remain shut – from Saturday, deputy national police spokesman Maj General Piyapan Pingmuang said Friday. 

 

The closure of 27 roads was done every weekend since mid-October to accommodate mourners going to pay respects to HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Piyapan said the move was lifted as everything had fallen into place, and people could get updates from the traffic division (www.trafficpolice.go.th or the 1197 hotline).
