Environmental Quality Promotion Director-General Monthip Srirattana Tabuganon (มณทิพย์ ศรีรัตนา ทาบูกานอน) said the department has arranged the events to promote environment-friendly production and consumption and the Sufficiency Economy among private, business, industry, and agriculture sectors.

Highlights of the events include the launch of a book entitled “Pla Ja Kin Dao” (ปลาจะกินดาว) written by the Thai Environment Journalists Association, the announcement of the 2006 environment situation report, and presentation ceremony of environment-related awards namely the Young Publicist Award, the Recycled Trash Awards, and the Air Protection Awards granted to schools.
