Huawei to proceed with planned investment in Thailand

BANGKOK, 24 November 2016 (NNT) – Huawei will continue to invest in Thailand as planned, confirmed Board of Investment (BOI) Secretary-General Hirunya Suchinai.

Huawei Technology Thailand remained confident with the Thai investment climate and will continue to pursue its investment plans in this country, the BOI chief said.

She said Huawei had hired foreign experts to work in projects supported by the BOI and the hirings were legitimate as the company complied with all regulations and was inspected by all stakeholders, namely the BOI, the Immigration Bureau and the Department of Employment.

The Thai authorities are now providing integrated services via the One Stop Service Center available at the Visa and Work Permit Service Center and the Investment Coordination Center at Chamchuri Square in Bangkok.
