Carlsberg is no longer available in Thailand.

They had some arguement with the breweries. I heard that they were attempring a comeback but lets see.

Carlsberg happens to be my favourite beer and I miss it a lot.

I heard that Carlsberg is setting up in Laos. Hope they will export to Thailand.

Maybe you will try Beer Lao? Unfortunately not availabe at Blues Factory in the Moment afaik. Secrets is serving it, they have Coyotee Dancers, but no nudity. No problems for you to go with wife, as many are doing. Nice music and ok food.

For me Tiger is superior to Carlsberg, at least comparing the KL versions, it is certainly ways better than Heineken (Lady's lager). I would say you should find Tiger an acceptable alternative but I don't know how widely it is available in LOS.

Tiger beer is widely available here though. I really like the Japanese "Asahi Dry" brand too, but it seems to only be available in the South of Thailand.

Chang "Beer" tastes like junkies piss.

A lot of these beers don't travel too well as they are "made in Thailand under licence".

In other words, they re-route the beer chang tank to a tap with a Carlsberg sticker on it.

Heineken is the same. I hated the stuff until I sat down in a bar in Amsterdam and had an actual Heineken (made in Holland). It is made in all other countries "under licence" to suite the local taste.

Check out the label on your favourite beer and see where it is made. That'll give you an idea what you are actually drinking.

Beer Lao is the best option as the brewery and formula was a German foreign aid gift to Lao.

Murree Brewery makes the only beer in Pakistan. Drink it once and it will be your favorite beer.

You calling me an oxymoron? That's fighting talk. Anyway I never said what class.

When I first arrived in LOS there was a choice of Singha, Singha Gold (too gassy), Kloster (didn't like the taste) and Amarit (heavilty diluted rat's p1ss) so I developed a taste for Singha and still like the stuff. Maybe it's me that aint got no class.
